DISCOUNT LIME - PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: 23 Feb 2026
Last Updated: 11 Sep 2026
1. Introduction
Discount Lime ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and store it, and what rights you have over it.
This Policy applies to:
- The Discount Lime website at discountlime.com (the "Site")
- The Discount Lime Google Chrome browser extension (the "Extension")
By using our Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.
Discount Lime is a trade name of Grouper Games LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account and Identity Data
When you register or use the Service, we collect:
- Email address - to identify your account. New accounts sign up with Google; any existing account can use a login link or one-time code.
- Google account identifier - to recognize returning Google users after verifying the Google-issued ID token. Google sign-in works independently of your analytics choice.
- License key - a generated key used to identify your account within the Extension.
- Credit balance - the number of automation runs remaining on your account.
- Referral information - if you joined via a referral link, we record the referral relationship and any associated rewards.
- Admin flag - an internal designation applied to administrative accounts.
2.2 Payment Data
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, expiration date, or billing address. We do retain the following payment-related records in our database:
- Stripe payment and event IDs
- Payment status
- Amount paid and currency
- Credits package purchased
- Receipt URL
- Raw Stripe webhook event payload (retained for reconciliation and support purposes)
2.3 Support Communications
If you contact us for support, we collect and store the subject and content of your messages and any related email correspondence.
2.4 Usage and Technical Data
We automatically collect certain usage and technical information, including:
- Credits purchased and consumed
- Payment status events
- Referral activity
- Site visit events (page URL, HTTP referrer, UTM campaign parameters)
- IP address and browser user-agent string (for internal operational notifications)
- Error logs and operational logs (which may incidentally include email addresses, request details, or payment identifiers)
2.5 Data from the Chrome Extension
The Extension reads form elements on Etsy's Sales & Discounts pages locally in your browser to automate the sale setup process. When you configure a section-based sale, the Extension reads your selected Etsy shop section name from the page UI.
The Extension does not collect, transmit, or store any Etsy customer data, order data, customer names, customer addresses, customer emails, or private messages.
The Extension stores the following data locally in your browser's extension storage only:
- Your Discount Lime license key (for authentication)
- Sale setup history and state (sale name, discount percentage, scope, dates, status)
- Panel UI state (open or minimized)
The only data the Extension transmits to our servers is your license key and the number of automation runs requested, sent to our license verification endpoint to authorize and deduct your credits.
2.6 Browser Local Storage (Site)
Our Site uses browser local storage for the following purposes:
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
| ds_auth_token | Stores your authentication token |
| ds_auth_email | Stores your email for frontend requests |
| ds_referral_param | Stores referral code from URL |
| ds_visit_sent_at | Prevents duplicate visit analytics when analytics is allowed |
| dl_cookie_consent | Remembers your accepted or rejected Google measurement choice until you change it or clear browser storage |
| discountlime-language | Stores your language preference |
3. Cookies and Analytics
3.1 Google Analytics
Google Analytics measures page views and interactions such as signups and checkout starts. It can use cookies including _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits. Analytics starts when you open the Site unless this browser already has a saved rejection. First-time visitors identified as being in the European Union see the tracking notice. Selecting Accept Tracking, closing the notice using ×, or pressing Escape saves acceptance. Selecting Reject Tracking stops optional Google measurement and saves the rejection as dl_cookie_consent in this browser.
We check your approximate country on our server using a local IP-country database. This check does not send your IP address to a separate geolocation provider or store it in the consent response. Google Analytics does not wait for this check. The notice appears only when the visitor is identified as being in the European Union; outside the EU, or when location cannot be determined, Google measurement remains enabled unless previously rejected. Our internal visit counter follows the same tracking choice.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Rejecting stops future Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement and removes our accessible Google measurement cookies, without signing you out or disabling payments. The page may reload to stop already loaded tracking. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies to the current page and we may ask again on your next visit.
Country lookup uses GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind. IP-based location is approximate and may reflect a VPN or proxy.
3.2 Third-Party Cookies
Essential authentication storage and payment security work regardless of your analytics choice. Stripe may set cookies when you interact with payment flows on the Site. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
3.3 Google Ads
Our Google tag also supports Google Ads measurement whenever tracking is allowed. Google Ads measurement starts by default unless this browser already has a saved rejection. Rejecting tracking blocks both Google Analytics and Google Ads.
